Law Enforcement Guidelines
These guidelines are for law enforcement and government agencies seeking records from Simplified Security Solutions LLC ("Live Lobby"). They describe what we hold, what we need to see before we disclose it, and how to reach us. They are not legal advice and do not create rights for anyone.
What we hold
- Account records: name, email address, the date the account was made and of its last sign-in, and subscription status. We do not record the IP address of a successful sign-in. We do keep, for 2 days unless preserved, the IP addresses of failed sign-ins, password resets, acceptance of our Terms and desktop desk check-ins.
- Desk records: the audit trail of a show - who was queued, seated, muted, removed, and when - and chat commands the desk read.
- Recordings: each participant's camera and microphone (video and audio, not chat) of shows on Live Lobby media servers, kept for 2 days unless preserved. Shows run peer to peer are not recorded by us and cannot be produced.
- Consent records: a guest's agreement to the recording notice - time, name used, IP address, browser.
- We do not hold payment card numbers (our payment provider does) and we do not hold the content of Twitch or YouTube chat beyond what a desk read.
What we require
- Basic subscriber information (name, email, the IP addresses above, dates): a valid subpoena.
- Desk records and consent records: a court order or a subpoena, depending on the jurisdiction.
- Recordings and other content: a search warrant, or the written consent of the account holder.
- Preservation: on a written request from law enforcement identifying the account or desk, we will preserve the records for 90 days, renewable once, pending legal process. Ask promptly: IP addresses are kept only 2 days unless preserved.
- Emergencies: where we believe in good faith that disclosure is needed to prevent death or serious physical injury, we may disclose without process. Send the request marked EMERGENCY with the facts that make it one; a supervisor will assess it.
- Requests from outside the United States: through a mutual legal assistance treaty or letter rogatory, unless an emergency.
How to send a request
Email abuse@livelobby.io from an official government address, with the legal process attached as a PDF, the account email, desk name or address, and the date and time (with time zone) of the show. We acknowledge within two business days; emergencies as soon as possible. Process to be served by mail or in person goes to our registered agent in Georgia, as listed for Simplified Security Solutions LLC in the Georgia Secretary of State's business records.
Notice to users
Our policy is to notify the account holder before disclosing their records, unless the process forbids it, the request is an emergency, or notice would be counterproductive (for example in cases involving harm to a child). We may notify after a non-disclosure period ends.
Mandatory reporting
We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as 18 U.S.C. § 2258A requires, and preserve the associated records for the period the law sets.
Cost
We may seek reimbursement for the cost of responding to large or unusual requests, as the law allows. Version 2026-10-03; updated 2026-10-11.
